Project Overview

This Client Project, in collaboration with JobsForHer, allowed me to apply a human-centered design approach to address intricate user experience challenges. This involved conducting usability testing and task analysis with the target users to devise effective solutions.

App Description

JobsForHer serves as a connecting platform aimed at accelerating women's careers in India. It empowers women to embark on, resume, and progress in their professional journeys.

User Reserach

To comprehensively research the project and its users, we conducted interviews with stakeholders and women from diverse industries and functional roles.

Interviews & Observation

I had the privilege of interviewing and observing five working women, ranging from associates to senior executives, as well as women on career breaks, recruiters, and HR professionals.

Challenges

The primary challenges included enhancing the user experience for target users, personalizing the job search experience, and improving the user interface to offer more control and flexibility, thereby enhancing the quality of the candidate database and user retention.

Solution

The proposed solution involved curating content based on the user's profile on the homepage. Since the platform is named JobsForHer, a significant portion of users (94%) expected to view or apply for jobs upon logging in. Hence, the solution focused on personalizing the user experience by presenting relevant job listings and simplifying the job search process with minimal questions and a user-friendly interface design.

Bio

Namrata was a marketing professional for 8 years, took a 3-year break, after she got pregnant, had post-partum depression. She is from Mysore, then moved to Bangalore for a job, got married and moved to Hennur. Married to Vignesh, nuclear family, has 1 kid (2.5 years old), no support system
